Bag Review: Givenchy Mini Antigona

The Givenchy Mini Antigona. It needs no introduction. A bag that haunted me on Instagram, fashion blogs and Net-a-Porter and I finally pulled the trigger after a little (but not necessary) convincing by the Givenchy store clerk in The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

The mini size measures 22 x 20 x 13 cm and the version I purchased is made from goatskin leather in oxblood with silver-tone hardware. The inside is lined by tan canvas with two interior pockets on one side and a zip pocket on the other side. It has two sturdy top handle with a drop of 9cm making it slightly too small to carry over your shoulder via the handles.

I initially wanted to purchase the small size rather than mini because I preferred the ratio between the width and height making it more rectangular rather than a square. However, I ended up with the mini because of the shoulder strap (min 102cm; max 111cm). The shorter strap in the small makes it rather complicated to wear off the shoulder as it is intended to be held by the handle.

I was initially torn between this oxblood and a beautiful mustard yellow, but I ended up with a darker colour because of possible colour transfer from my clothing but I’m glad that I chose this colour. It’s a versatile hue which matches well with my wardrobe and skin tone. I can also see this colour lasting several seasons!

Beautiful huh?!

  1. Love the shape of Givenchy bags! They look small, but they’re deceptively roomy inside. Congrats on your beautiful purchase! I still remember the post when you wish-listed it! :D

  2. I agree, I manage to fit way too much items inside!

Thanks, I’m slowly putting a stop on my handbag purchases!

  3. Is it really worth the price to get the mini? I have the medium (and loved it to death) but I hope to get a smaller bag for traveling purposes. Am thinking of the mini since they have bright colors now!

  4. Yes, in my opinion because it depends on whether you will use it or not. I love the look of the medium but I find it too big for everyday use. The smaller is great for travel as you can wear it cross body and despite the small size, can fit quite a bit inside!!

  5. How much is it in MBS? Planning to get one in May when I go there :)
