My Hong Kong Haul

Hong Kong is my shopping paradise. While things are no longer as cheap as before, the variety and late night shopping still makes HK one of the best places to go on a shopping spree.

So without further ado, let me begin!

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella and Never Say Never. NARS items are so expensive in New Zealand, so every time I travel, I buy myself a NARS product. I prefer using lip pencil because of the line definition and I’m giving these velvet matte lip pencil a try! Nice colour pay off and goes on smoothly.

M.A.C Prep and Prime Lip Base. My holy grail lip primer and my go-to item whenever I’m doing a statement lip. This primer easily glides on and prevents your lipstick from running everything. It also extends the duration of the staying power of the colour. M.A.C are so much cheaper overseas, so I purchased these as back ups.

3 Concept Eyes Jumbo Lip Crayon in Mad Red and Gimme More. Can you tell that I really love lip products? Decided to give the Korean brand 3CE a try. Not much colour options at the store that I was in, which is a shame because I like their formulation.

Shu Uemura Skin Purifier Cleansing Oil. Was wanting to buy a big bottle but instead the store clerk convinced me to buy three smaller ones instead. I’ve used the Bobbi Brown Cleansing Oil which I quite enjoyed but I have heard great things about the ones from Shu Uemura. From left to right: Cleansing Beauty Oil, Ultima8 and Whitefficient.

Fujifilm Instax Share SP-1 and Instax Film. I had wanted this since I read reviews online. It’s not that much cheaper in Hong Kong, but I got it anyway because I wanted to quickly make my friends a small album of photos from our recent trip to Beijing. This is very easy to use and I will be posting a separate review in a later post! Also stocked up on some colourful instant film.

Assorted Etude House Face Masks. I enjoy the convenience of a sheet mask and had wanted to try the ones from Etude House. I adore the cute packaging so I purchased a fair amount as gifts for my sisters and friends.

Nature Republic Hand Cream. Also purchased these as gifts for my friends.

TonyMoly Red Apple Hand Cream and Petite Bunny Gloss Bar. Sold by the packaging! The hand cream is thick and luscious with a sweet apple scent while the lip gloss is also scented. Sadly, the colour from the gloss bar is very faint, so I’m going to treat it more like a lip balm.

Page One Singapore Travel Guide. Can you guess where I’m heading next?

3.1 Phillip Lim Mini Pashli. Initially had my eyes on the medium-sized but realised that I could get more use from the mini instead. I had convinced myself that I needed a new bag for my short trip in Macau and Beijing so I brought this on the first day!

Clothing wise, I was less successful. Being unable to find shoes that I like during my short time there, this is the only time that I have travelled to HK and not come back with a pair of heels. The hot weather meant that I was very lazy when it comes to trying on clothes and I only brought a handful of dresses and jeans.
