Day Twelve: Paris, France

The start of our time in Paris was a nightmare. Not only were our luggage delayed, we had a difficult time trying to locate our apartment. Our night went from bad to worst when I turned on my phone and received a message from our Airbnb host that she had to cancel our reservation because there is no hot water. We stayed a night there anyway because it was too late in the evening to find a nearby hotel without having access to wifi. We did not want to spend a night on the streets.

We tried to not let it ruin our first night in Paris, so we went out looking for dinner. There were no French bistros near our apartment so we devoured plates of pasta at a nearby Italian restaurant. I needed to cheer myself up, so I gave my credit card some exercise at a nearby department store (Printemps) that just so happen to be opened till late that night.

We went back to our apartment for a cold shower and attempted to get some rest. It was a sleepless night for me.

Oh Paris, why must we begin this way?
