if you are after freshly baked aromatic breads, seasonal fruits and vegetables, wine, cheese, and home made preserves and dips, the place to find them is the la cigale french style market that is held every weekend in parnell. on saturday and sunday mornings, the market is open with stalls from local producers in conjunction with la cigale till 1:30pm and is a great place to grab fresh ingredients and supplies for a delicious weekend lunch or dinner.

tasty mahurangi oysters – freshly shucked to eat there or take home
olives, olives, olives
and the amazing whoopie pie – this one is vanilla bean and mixed berry. absolutely fabulous :)
worth a visit for anyone especially if they are located in central auckland. the market is animal friendly and there is ample parking available.
