stieg larsson.

reading a good novel is a luxury for me. most of the time, it is hard to find a really good book. one of those books that you have trouble putting down. where you tell yourself… just one more chapter and then i will sleep. and the next thing you know. it’s 2am.

i’ve always appreciated and enjoyed all the novels by dan brown. angels and demons would have to be one of my all time favourites. but about a year ago, i discovered the late stieg larsson (1954-2004) and his millennium series that is translated from swedish. I’m currently reading ‘the girl who kicked the hornets’ nest’. and in nearly two days, i’m about 1/3 through. it’s plenty, considering it is 743 pages long.

at the time of his death, stieg larsson had completed three novels and half way through his fourth. according to the website, he had initially planned to release a total of ten books in the millennium series. for those of you that have yet to read ‘the girl with the dragon tattoo’. I highly recommend it. i also recommend ‘the girl who played with fire’. after reading larsson’s work, i guarantee that you would appreciate and admire his ability to create something so sensational.
